DrZharks Mo'Creatures mod adds over 30 new creatures to the wonderful world of Minecraft and a few of which are tamable, including horses, dolphins, kitties, rabbits, birds, sharks, and more. Don't let your goats near anything you may want to keep, they eat everything, including diamonds!
Some creatures are able to be worn on your head to add effects to the game, bunny's make your horses a little faster and jump higher, while birds will allow you to slowly float towards the ground. Turtles can also be worn on your head but they don't effect anything about your gameplay.
Although there are creatures you can tame, and creatures you can wear, there are also some creatures you may want to avoid, including the Ogres, the first mobs to destroy blocks. There are 3 types of Ogres, the normal Ogre, the Fire Ogre, and the Cave Ogre. The normal Ogre smashes all blocks except ore and obsidian and drops obsidian ore. The Fire Ogre destroys blocks and sets the ground on fire, but when it's killed it drops fire, so you can finally make some chain-mail! The Cave Ogre only spawns underground and has a huge area of damage, it drops DIAMONDS!
This mod adds some pretty unique things to the game, the first transforming mob is 1 of them, yes this mod, by the amazing DrZhark, does in fact add Werewolves to the game! Now to kill this beast you HAVE to use a gold sword, DrZhark says to "think of it as Minecraft silver." Now this addition to the game is 1 I really enjoy, you see a man in tattered clothing during sunset and may think nothing of it, so you look away to get some wood when you start to hear growling, and then you have to act fast, or die.
I know I've gone through a lot, but would you believe that there's so much more to this mod, I've only gone through about %10 of the creatures, and haven't even started to talk about the methods for taming or breeding yet, so I'll explain that really fast, give you guys the link to the official thread, and for those of you who are anxious and want learn it on your own, I'll go ahead and post the download.
Okay, so the mobs that I know you can breed are horses, dolphins, and you could say sharks. Horses are breed by getting 2 horses alone feeding them Mushroom Soup (or pumpkins, i find mushroom soup works better) and then leaving them alone for 5 minutes. There are 8 different breeds of horses, from the worse to the best they are Light, Brown, Black, Unicorn, Pegasus (the first flying mount), Pack horse, Nightmare, and Black Pegasus. The Pack horse Nightmare and Black Pegasus do not spawn in the wild and are only obtained by breeding. You can feed a horse an apple to tame it instantly.
Dolphins are tamed much like horses but you use raw fish. There are six different kind of dolphins (from common to rare): blue,
green, purple, dark, pink and albino. The last two kinds are seen only
rarely in the wild.
Sharks have different sizes, if you kill a big shark in easy difficulty or higher, you have a 10% chance of getting a shark egg, you throw the shark egg in water and it will incubate and turn into an already friendly shark that only attacks other mobs, that aren't other sharks.
